Getting Your Lowered Car On The Trailer

TIPS & TRICKS

  • Drive tow vehicle on oil change ramps or 2x4s to raise the rear of the truck and thus change the angle of the trailer

  • Longer trailer ramps, eg aluminum trailer ramps rated for at least 1500lbs each

  • Race Ramps - these help with approach angle and are nice and light but very expensive

  • Wood planks screwed together - helps with approach angle and are very cheap. Very heavy and cumbersome though.

  • Replace leaf springs with airbags on trailer

  • Jack racecar up and put wood chocks on spring perches to temporarily lift vehicle

  • Place wood 2x4s in areas the car will high center on [bottom out]

  • Ensure ramps and extension are pinned or hooked in as they can be knocked out of place if not using a winch to load
